The NBA season kicks off this week, and Carolina’s rookie players are seeing their first action. So how is it going?
Pretty much as expected. No one is setting the world on fire, a la James Harden, but it’s early yet, and they’re young.
Kendall Marshall (Phoenix) – didn’t play against Golden State. Goran Dragic started at point instead.
Harrison Barnes (Golden State) – got the start and rang up 6 points and 3 rebounds
Tyler Zeller (Cleveland) – 5 points and 2 rebounds
John Henson (Milwaukee) – out with a sprained knee
Oh, and everyone’s favorite Dookie Austin Rivers picked up right where he left off in Durham, chucking up every shot he got his hands on, including some truly terrible 3 pointers that barely grazed the backboard. He finished 1 for 9.
